Product care
General Instructions for the proper use and maintenance of the products.
Upholstered Furniture
The cleaning of the fabrics should be done according to the instructions and depending on the type of each fabric. Contact the store to find out how to properly clean your fabric. In any case, you can turn to specialized workshops that undertake the on-site cleaning of upholstered furniture.
You can vacuum the fabrics, using the special accessory in order to avoid the accumulation of dust in the fibers of the fabrics and the upholstery materials. If their surfaces are sensitive, use a soft brush or dry cloth.
Stains on fabrics should be removed as soon as possible to ensure good cleaning quality. Clean using a soft, lightly damp cloth with a light mixture of soap and water or simply baby wipes.
In use, fabrics may wrinkle. In this case, you can "layer" them using a steam system.
Back or seat cushions should be ventilated and shaken at regular intervals. This helps to refresh their materials and restore the pillows to their original shape.
Pillows that contain feathers in their filling may penetrate the cover fabric.
If over time you need to add material inside the pillows, you can contact the store to take care of filling them.
Synthetic skins, depending on the conditions to which they are exposed, polymerize and wear their surface in about 3-5 years. In this case, you can change their worn wallpaper.
The fibers of some fabrics when used can create fluffy knots that can be removed using foamers (commercially available).
Waterproofing on fabrics is an external treatment which with use and washing loses its effectiveness. You can renew it by contacting the specialized workshops.
Avoid direct exposure of fabrics to sunlight or direct contact with a heat source (radiators, fireplaces, stoves, etc.) in order to protect them from fading colors.
On leather surfaces, be sure to keep at normal hydration levels, smearing them with a special skin moisturizing lotion.
Wooden Furniture
Wooden furniture should be cleaned only with the use of a soft and very lightly damp cloth which is then wiped with a dry cloth. Any polishes give temporary gloss, but can cause problems.
It is forbidden to contact any solvent and alcoholic liquid on wooden & lacquered surfaces as there is a risk of damaging their surface.
Do not place objects that have a high temperature on the furniture, as they may damage their surface.
Avoid placing furniture near a heat source to protect the glaze or lacquer from discoloration and texture.
Furniture should be protected from direct sunlight to maintain its color and gloss. Be sure to close the curtains of the rooms (at least when you are not in the room).
Frequently change the position of decorative or other objects that rest on wooden surfaces, especially during the first period of their use, to prevent the creation of permanent marks.
Immediately clean the traces of water or other liquid with a soft cloth from the wooden or melamine surfaces, as the surfaces can be absorbed and swell. The same goes for metal elements where they can corrode.
Do not overload the products, as there is a risk of falling or tipping over.
If you want to move a piece of furniture, lift it up. Do not slide it as there is a risk of injury to your furniture or floor.
When moving objects on furniture, pick them up and touch them carefully, without dragging them. Placing special adhesive protectors (felt) under the objects and decorations that you place on each piece of furniture is an appropriate solution to avoid scratches on the surfaces of the furniture.
Maintaining room humidity at 25-35% is very important for solid furniture as they are much more sensitive to changes in room humidity and are subject to much greater contractions and expansions.
Existing cracks in the solid surfaces or those that may be created over time highlight the naturalness of the solid wood and are not a defect of the product.
